Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she has the record of being given 10/10 points in an Olympic performance. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci as she was only six years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships. She finished 13th. In the following year, she became champion. The first time she competed in an international event that was an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first woman to complete a reverse double salo on the uneven parallel bar when she won the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a part of the entertainment industry as a teenager. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performances.
