Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation to live in Atlanta from her great-grandfather who was a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. The father of her mother took an early interest in the theatre. In 1952, while studying at Emory University, he performed in several productions in Atlanta. The air force was drafted in 1953. While located in Biloxi Mississippi, he was cast in an army production that featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in the air force. The two married in 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. The couple divorced in 1957. the Air Force and Walter was enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. In 1960 the family moved into Decatur Georgia where Walter began working at Atlanta's Academy Theater and the Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1964, Walter and Betty Lou began production on an on-sunday morning local children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded themselves. The following year they started The Actors and Writers Workshop which operated for a period of six years. They welcomed in 1965 two young children, Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
